Navigating The Business Landscape

Although all employees are of equal importance, the junior- to middle-manager operates at the heart of the organisation. They serve as go-between the frontline employees and top management to ensure that business objectives are successfully communicated and realised.

Expectations change dramatically as individuals go higher up the management ladder. They no longer function as an individual, but as a team. Performance becomes measured against that of their subordinates and this requires them to obtain a fuller set of skills.

Business schools deal mainly with the hard skills of business and mostly in a generic format. Whether interpreting balance sheets, monitoring productivity or contributing to the strategic direction of the organisation, if the underlying principles are not taught in context of the individual’s daily life, it has little to no value when the individual goes back into the workplace.

Our Management Series aims not only to ensure that our programme achieves a measurable outcome, but also cater for the specific needs of the individual as well as the organisation.

Navigating the business landscape (NQF 3) – focuses on the individual, their role in the organisation and how their role impacts on that of others in the organisation (interdependence).

The management scoreboard (NQF 4) – focuses on business management and how strategy, finance and ethical conduct impacts on business performance.

Pinnacle programme (NQF 5) – focuses on increasing the delegate’s strategic thinking, organisational planning and leadership skills to ensure organisational transformation through increased innovation and creativity in teams, divisions and departments.
