Future Leadership Development Program (FLIP)

Managers need to develop high levels of flexibility, yet still maintain successful consistency. In other words, they must develop the insight and ability to manipulate the basics that they know, convert it into everyday practise and apply them to an ever changing and competitive environment.

Furthermore, the manager of today needs to be viewed as a sustainable resource to be able to guide organisations to new levels that will ensure consistent competitive advantage.

The book “Good to Great” is the foundation of this programme and explores the six principles underpinning the Flywheel effect.

Starting the Journey (in association with CALE)

Starting the journey prepares leaders to engage the complex cycles of change, implementation, growth and continually working with followers towards critical goals. This programme is typically aimed at individuals who are new to the challenge of leading others. Topics include; understanding leadership styles and skills, leading and engaging followers and planning for leading in change.

The Leadership Journey (in association with CALE)

Leaders engage in workshops reviewing leadership best practice based upon self-leadership, basic leadership tools including aspects of diversity, conflict and related challenges as well as organisational culture, understanding change, strategic thinking skills and planning. It includes one-on-one interaction with a coach to discuss assessment results and other individual issues related to leadership, thus ensures understanding and value at an individual level.

Academic Leadership

The HE landscape in South Africa has seen tremendous changes over the last decade. NQF and CHE requirements, transformation, mergers and fierce competition between public and private institutions place untold strain on educational agencies. We see our role as assisting HE institutions to develop the competencies and skills sets required to not only successfully navigate these challenges, but to establish sustainable and profitable organisations, offering quality education.

This programme is aimed at enabling potential and current senior members of staff to fulfil the demanding leadership roles required of them, with a special emphasis on enhancing succession within the leadership cadre of Higher Education (HE) institutions.
